Scavengers

Xander created a fun scavenger hunt for us. It was pretty tricky, but we figured it out, and in the end Caden found the prize hidden in a secret fort in our backyard.

A Memorable Morning

Xander's buddy Sam raised the most money for the school's Fun Run. The top prize was a ride to school on a firetruck and Sam invited Xander and another friend to ride the truck to school. It was a very special morning for these boys. The fire fighters gave them a tour of the station and then the boys climbed into the truck and rode across town to school with the lights and sirens going. It was the morning of Xander's Halloween party at school, so he was Darth Vader the fire fighter. I don't think you can get much tougher than that.

Crater Fun Run

To raise money for field trips and new computers, the kids at Xander's school did a Fun Run.
Xander getting cheered on by his super sweet teacher Mrs. Smith. He never has a problem remembering his teacher's name.
Xander did a great job running the whole time. One mom even told me, "I think you've got a runner." Now, years and years ago, way before I had four kids I was a "runner" so that comment sure made me happy. Who konws, maybe someday, Xander and I could go on runs together...we'll see.
Checking out the competition...

Every time the kids completed a lap they got their card punched.
