Xander and Caden are super excited about their Valentine partys at school and, (I love this), Xander is all about making his valentines, none of those store-bought ones for him. (No, I won’t admit to trying to talk him into them this year, since it’d be sooo much easier for this busy mama…it didn’t work by the way). So yesterday, he wanted to get started on “practicing” making his valentines. He wasn’t ready to make the final product, just thought it’d be a good idea to do a practice run, you know get those hearts just right. (This is also the kid who told me just the other day, “Mom we should clean behind the fridge every three months, and probably behind the couch every Wednesday.” What!? Ummm, once a year is good with me.
There’s something soothing about creating something, at least until someone steals a crayon. Look below and you can see Hailey’s “Hey! That’s my crayon!” face.
Just keep giving me food, and I’m happy to sit and watch.
The beginning of our Valentine’s Day banner.
We might need one or two more practice sessions before Xander is prepared to make his final valentines…but that’s ok with me! xoxo
