New England Aqarium, Boston

Checking out the jelly fish.
Enjoying the gigantic three-story fish tank.
Our favorite animal in the tank was "turty" (Xander named him) the enormous turtle. Here's his rear, he swam too fast for me to catch his head.
Outside the aquarium. It was perfect city weather: overcast and cool. Yes, I'm a Pacific Northwest girl =).

For Father's Day Weekend we took a spur of the moment trip (our favorite kind) to Boston. We woke up early Saturday and decided it was the perfect day to do a quick road trip. It was a long day in the car (4 hours each way). Luckily, the kids loaded their backpacks with car toys/books and they all did a good (not great) job in the car. We relied heavily on Ms. Garmin (as we fondly call it) to show us the way...uh, after going through a looooong toll tunnel that took us under the river to the wrong side of the city (at least twice. "There's Big Ben Kids!")only to discover we needed to turn around and go through it again, we decided to rely on Jory's great sense of direction; which led us right to the aquarium. After the aquarium we drove around the city a bit. I'll post those pics next.

I can see it all over Hailey's face in the second picture, "Watch out for those nematocysts!!"
