Brrr!

It's cold. Really, really cold. 28 degrees cold. (Anything below freezing is too cold for this mild NW weather gal.) I can handle all the rain in the world, but I'm not very tough when it comes to freezing weather. However, I decided we were going to embrace the Mainer life and we headed out to an Adventure Moms playdate at the park. We bundled and bundled and headed out the door. Caden was crying because I made him wear his jammies under his clothes (I thought it was a great idea to help him stay warm), Xander was crying because he wanted to go to the Children's Museum, and Hailey was crying because she looked like a bottle of Pepto Bismol. It was a very long two block walk and I was sure we were going to be the only ones crazy enough to go to the park. Nope! There were 4 other moms and their little ones as happy as a warm summer day. We toughed it out, the crying stopped and we had a great time. We were the first ones to leave though-we wimped out and headed home for some warm cocoa...and a trip to the Children's Museum.

I'm cracking up right now and just picturing what you look like walking down the sidewalk (sorry, so not funny in the moment I'm sure).

Love you Lanny and miss the laughter we have together. I would have suffered that cold just to be at the park with you!! :)

Congrats on making it to the park in sub-freezing weather! It will be great once you can start going to the sledding hill. I hear you have snow now! Hopefully they have a snow blower that you get to use this winter? We didn't have one...so we had to shovel it all by hand all winter. And, by we, I mean Adam...there were some upsides to being pregnant!
