Thunder Hole, water flows into a cave and can splash up to 40 feet with a loud thunder noise. We didn't see anything that high-more like 4 feet =).

Jordan Pond. There's a lodge next to it that serves cappuccinos and popovers-yumm, sounds like a good treat for those who hike around it. That's enough of an incentive for me!

During my mom and sister Emily's visit we went to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. At Acadia we saw Thunder Hole, drove to the top of Cadillac Mountain and took a carriage ride. There are over 50 miles of carriage roads designed by Rockefeller in Acadia. They began building the roads in 1915...it took one year to build just two miles of the pebble roads. Then we went to Bar Harbor took a look at the shops had some yummy fish and chips for dinner and ended the day with a quick treat of ice cream. It was a great day!
