Boothbay Harbor

We had a great day trip to Boothbay Harbor even though we quickly discovered the town is pretty much closed until Memorial Day Weekend: we planned on riding the train = closed, the aquarium = closed, the local trolley = closed. Luckily for us the town is very quaint and was fun to just walk around and there were a few shops open. The boys were happy that the candy shop which was celebrating it's 74th anniversary was open.

Taking a stroll over the harbor
Two cuties!
It was a chilly picnic; the park was nice though, you could see lobster traps being pulled in from the water.
Like true Pacific Northwesterners we hiked around town until we found a coffee shop that was open. We were in serious need for some cocoa/lattes/mocha/chai to warm our toes after the chilly picnic. We ended up finding a super cute historic house that had been turned into a coffee shop. (I think I told Caden 3 times, "Really, it's not a straw! You have to take it out.")
