Whirlwind

We just got back from a whirlwind trip back to Oregon so Jory could defend his dissertation. We flew in Thursday evening. Spent Friday in Newberg visiting some dear friends in the morning, Jory defended in the afternoon, zipped over to the Blazer game in the evening (they won!). Saturday we spent the day in Vancouver with Jory's parents, my parents and grandma, his older brother's family and my oldest sister's family. Then it was up at 3:30 am Sunday to fly out. Quick, quick, quick. But tons of fun. We were working on close to zero sleep, but with all the excitement of seeing people so special to us we hardly noticed...until Monday morning of course when we were faced with work and suitcases to unpack.

The boys stayed back in Maine with the Tapper Family (you can check out some pictures on their blog-just click on it in the column to the right). The boys made donuts, finger painted, colored, went swimming, played outside, and sled on their amazing sled run. The boys had a blast! They're still talking about how much fun it was.

I have pictures...but my camera, or computer, or the cord that connects the two isn't working. I'll try to figure it out soon. In the meantime here's a picture that Heidi e-mailed me.

Me & Hailey, Linsey, Heidi, Natasha & Brady, and Alex. I've been friends with these girls since my first week of College =)...14 years ago.

It was so good to see you, Lanny! I'm glad you were able to come "home" for a whirlwind weekend! Can't wait to see where God will take you and your family next. :)
