Recipes for Fun & A Recipe for Disaster

Aunt Amy's Famous Snow Icees
1 bit of white snow
1 bit of tasty juice or soda

Mix ingredients together and enjoy!

Baked Cinnamon Ornaments *
4 oz. cinnamon
10 tbsp. applesauce
Put cinnamon and applesauce in a large bowl, blend with a spoon. Knead mixture into a ball. It should have consistency of a thick cookie dough or play dough. It should roll out without cracking. If it is too dry, add more applesauce, 1 tablespoon at a time.
Divide dough into 2 sections and roll each section into a 1/4 inch sheet. If dough sticks, sprinkle surface with cinnamon. Cut into shapes with cookie cutters. Use a straw to punch a hole in each for hanging.
Slip ornaments onto baking sheet with spatula and bake at 200 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Check frequently. If ornaments cook too long, the edges will curl. Remove to a wire rack and cool.
* Warning: Quadrupling this recipe will make you want to vomit from the smell of cinnamon for the rest of the day...and make you realize store bought ornaments are a great invention...though when you see your goodies hanging from the tree-it's worth it...sorta.
